Pastoral Care / Compassion Ministry

Mission
To create a spiritual environment wherever we visit and whenever we call, and to bring greetings from the church family of Unity Christ Church.

Vision
To provide pastoral care support and outreach to our spiritual community whenever family members express need of prayer, loving, healing or Christian community.

Areas of Responsibility

• Contact or visit community members who ask for prayers and visits at home, in hospitals, or in prisons.
• Pray with them and their families and bring greetings from our church.
• Be available and reliable for them.

Qualities
The people heeding the call of this ministry will be joyous, empathetic, loving, caring and non-judgmental. They are centered and grounded with a peaceful countenance when interacting with those requesting the services of this ministry. They are members of Unity Christ Church and are familiar with the teachings of Unity principles and practice prayer as part of their own spiritual path. They understand the confidentiality of a patient's condition and status and are able to observe this requirement.
