New Wonderful Wednesday Format Welcomes Lori Dokken, Rev. Lyle Schlundt

The year isn’t the only thing new at Unity Christ Church in January! On January 14, our mid-week Wonderful Wednesday service will take on a fresh look and feel, as we welcome Rev. Lyle Schlundt into a formal role and bring Lori Dokken to the keyboard. Rev. Shirley Engelmeier will continue delivering her soul-inspiring messages.

Rev. Pat Williamson Elected to Unity School of Christianity Board of Directors

Rev. Pat Williamson has been elected to serve a three year term on Unity School of Christianity’s Board of Directors, effective immediately.

The School, comprised of Unity’s worldwide prayer ministry (Silent Unity), its publishing ministry, and education ministry (including its retreat center and Unity Institute) was originally founded in 1889 by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore. Unity’s vision is to be the world’s premier provider of spiritual resources and the destination of choice for personal transformation.

“I am excited about the 5-year strategic plan and vision of Unity,” says Rev. Pat. “As former chair of the Board of Trustees of the Association of Unity Churches International, I feel I can be instrumental in fostering greater collaboration between the School and Association in support of this vision.”

Unity School board chair Rev. Duke Tufty sees Rev. Pat’s enthusiasm, passion and experience as a blessing to the entire Unity movement. Unity Christ Church board president Sarah Cox says, “I am excited that Rev. Pat brings Unity Christ Church’s presence into the larger movement. I feel that this position will not only support Rev. Pat in his spiritual unfoldment, but also will support Unity Christ Church.”

Wishing You a Joyous Christmas and Prosperous New Year

Dear Friend,

Happy New Year! No doubt you have heard this expression many times over the holiday season along with predictions from “experts” about the coming year. We certainly appreciate well-wishes, and we also acknowledge the merits of history and experience as indicators of future trends. However, as Truth students we also know this—that all good wishes and dire predictions aside, we individually are the ones who determine the course of our own future. We also know that as we implement change in our own lives, it has a ripple effect into the world. This truly is empowering news—we need not be victims of statistics, either good or bad.
